Effects

• Produces visual and mental effects often described as stimulating and fast-paced
• Euphoria may occur, along with visual and cognitive changes
• It is associated with slightly more anxiety and paranoia than some other psychedelics

Risks

• Severe anxiety, paranoia, delusions, and psychosis are possible, particularly in predisposed individuals
• In rare cases, hallucinogen persisting perception disorder (HPPD) may occur
• Dangerous counterfeit blotters exist, and some mimics have significantly worse safety profiles

Harm reduction

• For a first experience or a higher dose, use under the supervision of a tripsitter
• Start with a dose in the low-common range and monitor for unusual reactions or sensitivity
• Use a reagent testing kit to verify that the substance is genuine LSD and not a dangerous counterfeit
